I prefer to photoblog nowadays, which has its pros and cons. PROS. I don't need lengthy description about the memory I want to describe and you don't have to read me yapping and babbling away. CONS. Eh. None, haha. I should set up my own photoblog. So to start, here are some way overdue photographs!

First time ever embedding a video!
I want to see this so bad.
It seems to be an amazing movie.

Beowulf was so amazing.. I mean granted, it was not what I remembered from reading the anonymous poem a few years ago back in school, but still. It's not a surprise to me that Jolie played the part of the fornicating mother who seduces men so she can produce offspring but man alive, her body in that movie! I never knew that the movie was completely cgi-ed until Dan shoved his glasses on my eyes (yeah that's right, I'm short sighted or rabun jauh or whatever). Such a stellar cast - Jolie, Robin Wright Penn, John Malkovich (Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich hahaha), Sir Anthony Hopkins.. Crispin Glover.. so worth buying the tickets in advance; Beowulf tells the story of a brave warrior guy with really nice pecs and abs to boot who takes on the task of killing this creature (not human, CREATURE I TELL YOU!!) called Grendel. Grendel slinks off to his seductive mom (Jolie) who soothes him by caressing Grendel's face with her tail/hair whilst he died. Beowulf inherits this gold Norwegian dragon/boat figurine thingy and makes a deal with the pissed off Jolie and thus he lives a cursed wretched life bla bla.

Before we went to the movie, me and Dan decided to shisha at Rasta and we met Pinky & Nouvan!!! We were good friends back when we worked at Friday's.. it was so good to catch up with them. They were there to discuss their database assignment which I didn't pay much attention to. Eurgh. I shared some spicy lala (shellfish mollusc.. I think..) with Nouvan and I offered some to Dan who said..

Dan No thanks.
Me Why not?
Dan I don't eat those stuff.
Me It's really good!!! (hovers one in front of his face)
Dan I'll pass.

Damn shiok! In my family it's a tradition to eat kerang, lala and all that shellfish food. It's a Malay culture I think.. most Malays go to the stall and pay RM3-4 for a bowl of piping hot kerang, with a bowl of hot water to dip your hands in. Even Dan's siblings ate the kerang.. tsk tsk..

Afterthought: They don't have 'bloated' for livejournal mood. I'm feeling such because I had chicken curry, sambal telur and rice for breakfast.. such is the life of a Malay girl on a Sunday morning hahaha..
